This is the blog of Martin Smith, Peter Newell, Richard Barber and Stewart Jeffrey, old chums cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats, between 19 May and 6 June.
I do not wish to be thought to be seeking to put a dampener on proceedings. But you are, all of you, certifiable.
I am no scholar (as Peter Newell will confirm). But I recall some Shakespearean character who remarked that those who were abed would think themselves accursed. I definitely do not think this chap was necessarily correct.
